Projects Completed
Since our incorporation in 1995, the FBA has received over $300,000 in donations and grants allowing us to accomplish the following projects:
- Comprehensive Community Work Plan
- New concrete sidewalks with decorative patterns
- Decorative Stamped asphalt crosswalks (2)
- Mid block Choker

- Pedestrian street lights (36)
- Decorative tree grates (40)
- Fairfax Village Median Gateway
Projects In-Progress
An increased, dedicated membership will help us accomplish many other goals leading towards our vision, such as:
- Landscaping and irrigation in the two asphalt covered medians north of Melrose
- 50 additional shade trees along Fairfax Avenue between Melrose and Willoughby
- Additional street cleaning including regular, periodic pressure washing
- The purchase of additional and improved trash receptacles and increased trash pickup
- Private security patrols
- Shared parking and / or parking structure
- Hosting public forums on Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness
- Outreach campaign, including an annual street fair/music/film festival designed to make Fairfax Village more pedestrian friendly as well as a shopping and entertainment destination
